Sorcerer's Tower

You are a powerful sorcerer. Unfortunately, nobody else knows that yet. Gather your resources and build yourself a mighty tower! As your tower grows, you can work on your research, attack or blackmail your rivals, and try to publish enough spells to earn a coveted seat on the Sorcerer's Council---as long as your rivals don't get there first, that is.

Sorcerer's Tower is a competitive game for 2-4 players. Inspired by games like Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne, in Sorcerer's Tower you collect resources which you can use to expand your tower, sabotage other players, or earn victory points. Game length varies, but 45-90 minutes is a reasonable estimate.

A note for family game nights: The game has almost no text outside of the rulebook, and doesn't require complicated math, so it should be suitable for kids if they like board games, as long as they can confidently count to about twenty. However, the rulebook isn't written with kids' reading levels in mind so while it's great for families, it might be difficult for younger kids to play by themselves. If you are playing with kids who might not have the attention span for a longer game, try the rules in the Apprentice Edition rulebook. It reduces the number of victory points necessary to win, and removes/replaces some of the mechanics that prolong the game or delay progression.
